Here you will find answers to questions about Sparkle

Sparkle is the social media that enables you to create and participate in communities you're interested in. A new communication tool that respects people's choices, privacy, and time. Made to create and be free.

We have created a space to gather all the people who seek a fairer social network, and not statistics that are turned into ads.

It's a social media for you to see what you chose to follow, and get back the freedom to communicate to all those who follow you. Sparkle is the social network that focuses on content, without ads, without barriers.

The first step is to download the app, which is 100% free and is available on the App Store and Google Play.


  1. Have you downloaded it? Open and the app and click on Sign up;
  2. Enter your name, mobile phone number, email address, and a username to use on the app;
  3. Read Sparkle's Terms of Use and Privacy Policy carefully;
  4. All set? Click on Ready;
  5. Lastly, enter the code sent via SMS to complete your registration on the app

We know that, for different reasons, you as a Sparkle user may request the change of the number you used to register for Sparkle. Be it because there was a mistake when typing the number or because you have a new number.

For safety reasons and to avoid that other people try to alter your information, it's necessary to contact our support team at support@sparkle.com.be. In the email message please send us the following information:

  • username used in the app
  • previously registered phone number
  • current number you wish to use, with area code

Once we have received this information, a validation will be carried out and your account will be verified. If everything is in order, we will make the changes!

It's a way of organizing and grouping content into categories or areas of interest. Cool, isn't it? ;) WIth communites you create, store, refer, discuss, interact, and collaborate with topics that are truly relevant to you.

By creating a content community on Sparkle, you enter a name, tags, a brief description of the topic and, best of all: you set up the type, privacy, and visibility. Learn about each one of them:


TYPE OF COMMUNITY

Channel A personal community, with content published only by you or authorized collaborators. The people who follow the channel cannot post on the community only leave comments on existing Sparks.

Community: A collective community, in which everyone who participates in the community is allowed to post. It's similar to a forum, in which everyone can create discussion topics.


PRIVACY

Public: Any person who uses the app can see the community at any moment and view the content published on it.

Private: Only authorized people can see the community and the content can only be seen by people who participate in it.


VISIBILITY

Visible: A visible community to people who use the app and it is listed in the search results.

Hidden: The community does not show on the profile, nor on search results, therefore only people who are invited can see it.

Our app is 100% safe. :) For us at Sparkle, it is indispensable to provide complete reliability of all your personal information. Thus, no one who accesses your profile or follows your communities can have access to your email address, nor your phone number.

We have a cute name for Sparkle posts: Sparks. They can last forever, or only for 8 hours. And you already know that you can publish a Spark in video, text, audio, picture, and external links, right?

Your profile's temperature has gone up? That's a great sign! It represents the number of total degrees (likes) that you got in your posts.

Subscriptions are a tool for people to create content inside the app. The feature enables you to create offers of monthly recurrence and attribute communities with private access. With a subscription, you can offer monthly content such as newsletters, ebooks, content curation in specific topics, a consultancy in communities and audiovisual content, and also create crowdfunding and continuous campaigns for personal and business projects, and much more.

Integration of Sparkle with your YouTube channel enables you to make automatic publications on a content community. To make this integration, follow the steps:

  1. Access a content community and click on the settings ⚙️icon.
  2. On Settings, click on Import Content from YouTube.
  3. Log into your account on the platform.
  4. Select the channel you wish to link and click on Continue.

It's important to remember that:

  • It's only possible to link 1 (one) YouTube channel to the communities.
  • The publication of videos on the community is not retroactive, that is, they will only be published from the date of integration.
  • You will not lose the views of your videos with the integration to the app. When a user clicks to view your video, they will be directed to your YouTube channel.

The integration of your WordPress website or blog to Sparkle enables you to make automatic publications on a content community.

It's important to remember that:

  • The publication of posts on the community is not retroactive, that is, they will only be published from the date of integration on.
  • You will not lose the views or accesses to your posts with the integration to the app. When a user clicks to view content being shared, they will be directed to your website or blog.

If you wish to delete your Sparkle account, you will need to contact our support team directly, at support@sparkle.com.br. In the email with your request, please send us the following information:

  • username used in the app
  • email used to register
  • phone number with area code
  • If everything is in order, we will proceed with the deletion of the account!
